Northern Exposure debuted in the summer of 1990 as a replacement series and
soon developed a huge fan following. It was created by Joshua Brand and John
Falsey and was the story of a New York-bred medical intern who agreed to serve
in the remote town of Cicely, Alaska to repay his scholarship. Although the
series ended in 1995 after 110 episodes, it still has a loyal fan following. In fact, there is a "Moosedays" festival held annually in the town of Roslyn, Washington. Just click on "Moosedays" to see some pictures of the event. For more about Moosedays go to my "links" page.
The doctor, Joel Fleishman, was played by Rob Morrow. Janine Turner played Maggie. The character of Chris Stevens, the town DJ, artist, philospher, was played by John Corbett.
Many fans were not satisfied with the way the writers chose to end the series. As a result, there has been a lot of fan fiction written. "After Cicely" is a story of what I think took place five years later.
